Hello everyone! Apologies for missing last month’s announcement post… the flurry of holiday excitement in December left us scrambling to get the store back into shape in January, so by the time I got a chance to sit down and write an update post, we were already half way through the month, and I decided it wasn’t worth it at that point…😅 Thankfully, we’re back on top of things (for the most part) so without further ado, here’s everything coming up for Griffeys’ Book Emporium in February:
What’s New in Store
-HUGE Children’s and Sci-Fi/Fantasy restock. Thanks to generous donations and trade-ins from the community, we were able to restock much of our children’s corner in January, as well as our ever-popular sci-fi/fantasy shelves. Children’s was probably the section hit hardest in the holiday rush, so we are very pleased to have quality books back on the shelves once again.

-Better organization is coming. Creating a store layout that is both customer-friendly and accommodating of our workflow is an ongoing process, one which we’re tackling in a big way over the first few months of 2024. We’ve already made huge progress on tackling our backstock and rearranging the back area of the sales floor, and more progress is coming in the next couple months!

Other Announcements
-Some very special news from our co-owners. David and I (Aria) are extremely excited to announce that we are expecting our first little one later this year! We are so grateful for your support throughout our journey as business owners, through our engagement, marriage, and now our first pregnancy. Obviously, some things will be changing going forward; I’m not really able to help lift big boxes of books anymore, and our hours may have some unexpected fluctuations in mid-June, assuming baby is on schedule! We would humbly ask for your continued support during this transitional period in our lives; something as simple as liking or sharing our posts on social media is a huge help to us as a small business, and we always love to see you at events, pop-ups, or just in-store browsing the stacks. Griffeys’ Book Emporium would not be here without you, and we can’t wait to welcome our little one into the GBE family ❤️
