Hello everyone! I wanted to pop in and give some more details about our upcoming book fair! This exciting event will be taking place at Griffeys’ Book Emporium on September 30th from 11am to 4pm, and we would like to invite you to join us in celebrating local and independent authors from across Ohio. We have more than ten authors joining us for this event, and here is a brief rundown on who all will be there:

First of all, we have Ohio native Brent Bill. Brent will be selling copies of his short story collection Amity: Stories from the Heartland. Many of these stories are set in familiar locations around Central Ohio, including Columbus, Marysville, and Milford Center.

Next up we have local poet Taryn Paige! Taryn will be returning to Griffeys’ (she joined us back in July for a book signing). She is the author of three poetry collections: “extremities,” “too the afterlife,” and her latest “echoes of love.”

Next we have Emily Free! Emily grew up in the Delaware area and has attended several of our open mic nights, where she plays original music. She will be selling copies of her memoir Unscathed Spirit.

Next up is Patti Flinn! Patti writes and publishes historical fiction under her imprint Gilded Orange Books. Her latest works include Veronique’s Journey and Veronique’s Moon, both following the journey of a young black woman in 18th century France.

Next we have Matt Mccrery! Matt is the author of multiple novels, including the mystery novels Liberty Falls, Skies of Violet, and The Shadow Order. His latest work, Montana Blues, is a romance/thriller novel.

Next we have Cheyenne Van Langevelde. Cheyenne is also returning to Griffeys,’ actually for the third time! She is the author of Between Two Worlds, a historical fiction novel set in Ancient Rome, and Dilseachd: A Stolen Crown, a Celtic fantasy novel.

Next up is Beth Barnhill! Beth is local to the Delaware area and is the author of two children’s books: The Havalots and its sequel The Havalot’s Messy Life.

Also joining us will be Toni Marconi! Toni is a retired teacher living in Ohio. He has published a book of experimental fiction, The Complete Works of the Literate Dead, and three novels: Toscotti’s War, Upon the Hush of Night, and Whence Cometh the Dark, as well as two collections of short stories, “Still Hazy After All These Years” and “Until the Stars Are Fallen.”

Also joining us will be Chris Farrar! Chris is the author of two historical novels set in Ancient Israel, By the Waters of Babylon and Light of Exile, both backed by extensive historical and archaeological research.
