Well, we made it to the end of 2024, and 2025 is finally here! Thank you all for your support over the past year, our second full year in business. We are looking forward to bringing you more events, great books, and bookish fun in 2025!

What’s New in Store

-20% off of all Christmas books through January. Our Christmas-themed books are on clearance for the rest of this month. You’ll find them on the little shelf just inside the door. We have festive cookbooks, novels, kid’s books, and more! So stock up for next year at prices you can’t beat. 🙂

-Just a few Blind Date Books left! We did two rounds of “Blind Date with a Book” packages in December, and we have just a couple of Christmas-wrapped books left! Our next round won’t drop until February, so if you’d like to surprise yourself or a friend with a new read, stop and and grab one before they’re gone.

-Literary candles restock. We’ve restocked our bestselling literary genre candles from Carl & Kitten Candle Co. We have four genres to choose from (Fantasy, Classics, Romance, and Thriller), plus a few of my personal favorite Lavender Sage scent that I burn at home all the time. They all smell great and are made by a local artisan, so stop in and grab yours today!

Upcoming Events

–Silent Book Club @ Griffeys. January 9th, 6pm. Please join us for our first Silent Book Club of the year! Bring your current read and enjoy an hour of quiet reading in the company of other booklovers. Socialization before and after the reading hour is optional, but encouraged!

–POUND & Pages Workout Event. January 18th, 10am. Local POUND fitness instructor Kristin is hosting a special workout event here at Griffeys’ Book Emporium! This event is currently SOLD OUT, so stay tuned for future events.

–Open Mic Night. January 24th, starting at 6:30pm. Join us for our monthly evening of creativity and community! Just bring a song, a poem, a piece of prose, a comedy routine, or other creation you’d like to share, and sign up for a time slot here.

-Silent Book Club @ Beanbag. January 26th, 2pm-3:30pm. Beanbag Books will be hosting our second Silent Book Club meeting of the year in their storefront on Sunday, January 26th.

Other Announcements

-You can still preorder The Heart of Resistance. Aria and David’s steampunk adventure novel is slated to come out on March 25th, and preorders are still open throughout the rest of January. You can preorder online here or in-store. Details of the launch event are TBD, but you can expect to hear more about that very soon!
